Labrodarite

Rocks possessing the unusual quality of iridization, or an interior iridescent glow, include labradorite (reminiscent of the play of light in a drop of gasoline or the pearlescent sheen inside a clam shell). The rock's aesthetic value is substantially increased by the colour, which shimmers from light blue to deep purple and even green. It can be utilised to make enormous cabinet goods, kitchen furniture with smooth stone counters, tiles for interior and, in some cases, outdoor wall decoration, and architectural ornamentation for buildings. Under the effect of various lighting sources, the stone appears to come to life and transform.
